Argentine Flashback

This week a friend asked me to think of some experiences I have had when I saw others peoples life change by embracing Jesus Christ...as I was thinking of those experiences I immediately thought of my mission to Argentina, Rosario. What an amazing 18 months of my life. It is a time that I always look back on, and they were by far the most influential 18 months of my life. I LOVED IT, and I love the people.

I love having flashbacks!
This is a guacho at a bus station...Argentine cowboy
Daniela...oh I love her and miss her
 Hna. Ventura de Peru
Miguel de Paraguy, such a stud. He later baptized his friend Oscar :)
FHE on the block...gotta love Argentina!!
Oh how I miss it.

Cruise continued

Z's favorite part... unlimited ice cream! She enjoyed a daily dose. As did I, sometimes many times a day. That strawberry yogurt was always calling my name.

So a floppy hat seems really cute...until your on a boat and its windy, and you're trying to take a picture :(

So here I am without a hat...dont mind the hair. But Z is sure rocking that bathing suit cover! Go girl, with your hair blowing in the wind and all!!

Welcome to Jamaica. We took a crazy van to some shops, the beach, and some other sightseeing. Jamaica is a bit crazy for those of you who have not been. A bit sketchy to say the least. But full of character and charm. Cory and I ate some jerked pork for lunch which was pretty good.

This was Z's first time feeling sand...she was not a huge fan. She kept picking up her feet and trying to shake off the sand.

She is so cute!!

Um... I look crazy, but I have to show proof that I was there too.

Holy smokes the driving was crazy!! Literally the front of the van was .5 in from a car...can you tell what direction we are heading???...we are taking a right. haha

This is our ship

Welcome to the Gran Cayman Island

We took a little boat out to a sand bar and we swam, held and fed stingray. Some were huge!! Even Z got in and petted them

Then we went snorkeling at a reef, and then relaxed on a private beach for the rest of the day.

Thank you, Lester. We loved our towel animals!

Welcome to Cozmel, Mexico. Here we just got a taxi and went to San Fransisco Beach and hung out.

You could say she had embraced the sand by now. She was loving her vacation!!

Her grandma had ordered a virgin pina colada, and was going to share with Z. After Z had drank 3/4 of it, she realized what sharing with a 14 month old baby who had 4 molars coming in was like. lol. Needless to say, 5 minutes later after her belly was cooled off, she took herself a nice nap with dad. We had an awesome Christmas!!!

Cruise Magic

                                                                      Merry Christmas!!

For Christmas this last year we did not do any gifts...yup, the Christmas tree was pretty sad looking. We had decided last year we would rather do a family trip and have memories instead of things for the year of 2011. So we booked a cruise!
Having Z with us made it a very family friendly cruise. She had a blast to say the least, and she was worth that full ticket we had to pay for her. (Yes, no matter the age they are full price!) Each night we took turns going to bed early, so that Cory and I could enjoy dinner and the shows with everyone. It worked out really well, since there was usually at least one person who was tired anyway.
So...the first day as we are in the hot tub with our waterproof camera...it breaks. So we have no camera for the rest of the cruise. So the pictures we have are from Cory's mom, who thankfully took a good amount of our family. And every night on the cruise they take pictures as you go into the dining hall, and Cory took full advantage of this feature. Seriously we went through a STACK of pictures we had taken and then we selected the best ones... here they are.

Ironically, all the good ones were taken on the same night. So sadly we have all the same outfits on. Oh well, no one will care in 10 years. Here is the picture of us when we got off the ship in Jamaica.
And this one, is of us on the Beach in Cozmel, Mexico. This guy had a parakeet and was taking pictures of people and then charging like 20$ for the picture...needless to say we got it for $5. Gotta love Mexico :) And what a disaster of a picture...haha Zaylie did not like that bird.
